Romo Group CPA Partner Engagement Campaign & Community Management
Romo Incentives Group is a tax incentive consulting firm that helps businesses identify both federal and state tax credits. Tax incentive programs present tremendous savings opportunities yet receive little publicity. As a result, hundreds of millions of dollars in tax credits remain unclaimed each year.
Goals: Increase the number of CPA partners and create additional touch points for current partners including creating and managing a LinkedIn Group.
Romo Incentives Group had an internal list of CPA partners (tier 1: provided referrals, tier 2: no referrals) that they wanted to engage with in addition to bringing in more potential partners. I assisted in developing and iterating on a campaign to provide CPAs with access to continuing education credits in exchange for registering and attending our webinar on R&D tax credits. CPAs are notoriously busy and difficult to engage with so our messaging had to be enticing and relevant enough to sway them to spend an hour with us. By leveraging a multi-channel approach including paid LinkedIn, organic social, and email we brought in 7 new CPAs and engaged with 11 internal CPA referrals producing an additional touch point and the potential for new referral business down the line.

Romo Incentives Group also wanted to increase touch points with a specific sub-group of it’s CPA and business audience. We collaborated and created a LinkedIn Group focused on tax and finance executives in the food & beverage industry. Furthermore, we leveraged a multi-channel campaign (email, social and web) to promote the group. After we had gained a significant amount of traction and growth we had to manage the group and keep everyone engaged. We opted to post weekly questions, topics and polls to the group in order to increase engagement, provide value and position Romo as a thought leader in the food and bev space.
